This will include such items as what your child ate, how much and what time; diapering and sleeping, along with their various activities they participated in throughout the day. Whether they are functional or fluent, most of the children are learning French as their third language. The French curriculum begins with numbers and the alphabet, simple words and phrases, colours and shapes. With this being the second language of Canada, it is very important that children learn when they can and it is found that younger is certainly better. Depending upon the age of the group, French will become more in depth, especially with our kindergarten children. Many families choose to have their children remain at the Centre for our full day JK/SK program and then send them to the French Immersion School for grade 1. This program is a hands on program where the children can manipulate different musical instruments played to songs and beats. The children thoroughly enjoy this program and look forward to what the teacher has planned each week. In addition to musical instruments, music and movement plays a large part in the Music program.
